Omega 3’s <3

Healthy foods equal a beautiful you. Trust me on this one! For example the other night while filing my nails, I noticed how long my nails had gotten. There were no chips, breakage, and certainly no hang nails present. They were probably the healthiest they’ve ever been and you want to know why?? Omega 3’s my little darlings. OMEGA 3’S!

I’m sure you’ve heard of them before and how they reduce inflammation throughout the body and help prevent cancer cells from growing. So, if you’ve been experiencing depression, fatigue or have inability concentrating in school, and suffer from dry itchy skin & brittle nails you may need to increase your intake of omega 3’s. Not sure how? Don’t worry loves, I’ll fill you in.

Salmon contains at least 2 grams of omega 3 fats which is more than the average adult gets from all food over a course of several days. Its omega 3 fats come from EPA and DHA which have been linked to the reduction of certain brain-related problems. Such as: depression, hostility in teenagers, and cognitive decline. Canned sardines also produce these impressive benefits! Not a fan? Perhaps the next options will work better for you…

Walnuts are another way of getting a significant amount of omega 3 fatty acids! They contain 2.27 grams of omega 3’s and will certainly give you to anti-inflammatory nutrients, proper blood composition and flexibility in your blood vessel walls! They’re easy to eat and go perfectly in salads or if you’re feeling indulgent eat them in brownies.

Flax Seeds are an incredible source of omega 3’s and you only need 2 tablespoons a day to obtain 3.5 grams of omega 3’s. That’s more than 4 oz. wild salmon and walnuts! Flax is the perfect supplement for vegans & vegetarians and can be used in so many different ways. Such as: specialty cereals or ground up the seeds and pour it over oatmeal, yogurt, and smoothies!

You can even use it as an egg replacer for cookies, breads, and cakes. Just mix 1 tablespoon of ground flax seed and 2 tablespoons of water. Stir until mixture is gummy; viola! And maybe try making brownies with a flax egg and walnuts! 😉


Omega 3’s will not only make your skin brighter, hair shiner and nails stronger they’ll provide you with a healthy heart and promote healthy bones as well! Healthy on the inside followed by beauty on the outside is definitely the best of both worlds.
