Do What Works For You!

You know what’s interesting? It’s actually unhealthy to think you’re better than everyone else because you eat healthier or are more physically active. In fact, it’s very easy to get caught up in the whole “healthy” hype to the point where you are very limited. From experience and a little advice from a nutritionist I learned that you can eat whatever you want. Well, of course in moderation.

What I’m saying is this: you should never feel like you have to follow rules when eating. What you should do is find a healthy balance, your, healthy, balance that is. The key is to listen to your body and not so much your mind. You know how people say their mind plays tricks on them? That statement speaks for itself and it’s better to avoid those temptations by replacing processed foods with whole foods, loading up on veggies & fruit, and of course drinking plenty of water. Try to be active in the funnest way possible. You’ll get more benefit out of your workout if you’re actually enjoying yourself! (My favorites are Zumba Tone and Ashtanga Yoga!)

Everyone has a unique way of being healthy, that’s great and that’s why I created this blog. Because I was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis I am trying to familiarize myself with a variety of illnesses, allergies, or intolerances that require different diets.
